FEATURE REQUEST - Exclude folders based on present files

It would be nice to be able to have an option to have an exclusion based on files present in the directory. This way I could put something like No.backup in multiple directories, and just add the one exclusion in the backup options and any folders with that in it would be excluded.

This is an option in duplicity with the switch --exclude-if-present.

I was just wondering if any progress had been made with this, and if it's being considered for inclusion as a new feature?

We have a data server, protected by UDP, which presents a single shared drive to users, but this is actually composed of a number of data volumes mounted into NTFS directories. We want to protect only some of those volumes so the only option we've got is to additionally mount those with drive letters and then change the job to backup selected drives: there appears to be no way in UDP of choosing volumes that are mounted into directories and not as drives. Unfortunately we're running out of drive letters to mount into, so either implementing this feature where we could drop a file into root level of the directory that flags is as "do not backup", or a way of selecting volumes mounted into directories when configuring a backup would be great.

We are in a bad situation with our Microsoft SQL server all re-setup after a years work running MS SQL 2016 under Windows 2016. After working with your support (Ticket #324378) I am told the replication issue cannot be fixed because RHA is not supported for SQL 2016 on Server 2016. Please tell me that you are about to release an RHA update that will resolve this dire issue
