Download option in Arcserve UDP wipes NTFS permissions

When you want to restore some data, in update 2 you now have the option to Download the file to copy it across to a location. Workflow = Agent > restore > Recovery points > select recovery point > blue download button.

But this data loses all the NTFS permissions and gives me the ability to view the files. This is not good with sensitive HR data as it is restricted to the HR department and 100% cannot be viewed by anyone else. The idea is good, but it must surely be possible to keep the exisiting permissions inside a zip file? Can this please be looked at?

Hence would request you to kindly raise a support ticket with us, so that we can properly investigate this issue and provide you a solution.

Meanwhile you can test the same with Update 1 and see if its behaving the same or if its okay.
