ArcserveUDP Exchange Granular Restore

Needed to restore some missing Emails for a user. Used the Granular Restore. Found I had to follow the steps in the Knowledge base article. Wish the integration was cleaner/simpler.

Found relevant user Mailbox and then selected their Inbox. It took over 2 hours to populate the Inbox. The Search feature was useless until the whole Inbox was populated.

Is this NORMAL? The user waiting for the Emails to be restored was not particularly happy.

Anybody else out there have any experience with the Exchange Granular Restore?

same here. I have an open case because of the same problem.

 

Will give you an update when I have more informations.

I found the performance was a lot better if I mounted the Exchange recovery point onto the Arcserve server instead of on the Exchange server.  

The GRT was almost unusable when I ran it on the Exchange server.
