Error ‘Out of memory’ while trying to browse a source machine from the client agent for windows .

Description:
While we try to expand a folder of a source machines which contains large number of files the process might hangs and gives an error “Out of memory”.
 
Environment:
Version of arcserve   : All versions of arcserve backup.

Solution: 
Logon to the problematic machine and follow the below steps

1) Edit the registry
2) Navigate to the path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\CA ARCServe 
Backup\ClientAgent\Parameters
Highlight the value name “MaxFilesToBrowse” and change the value data to 40000 [decimal].

Important : Please export the registry keys before making any changes.

3) Restart the arcserve backup universal agent service.
