Problem: 
Unable to perform BMR 
 
Error Message: 
Unable to perform UDP BMR of a VM  as the BMR we observe the following message 'Failed to to connect to [\\xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx\AsdonBackup$\Asdon Datastore\Backup\xxxxxxxx[f44efb34-62dc-4cfb-9a84-59b0f4ec1b96]], ERR[384] {DrMain.exe::DrMain.exe(4175.385)}


Failed to connect to the destination/ unable to browse the node and find the recovery points

Environment: 
Arcserve UDP 6.5 Update 1
Destination: De-dup Datastore on a Buffalo NAS Box
Target For BMR: VM on Hyper-V
Make and Model of NAS: Buffalo Link Station LS220D, Firmware version:1.66-0.01
Boot Kit Created: Through Windows 10 ADK 


Cause : The bottom line of DrMain.log shows the connection to the shared folder failed with EC=384 that means Windows10 denies to connect to SMB1.

Findings:

DrMain.log:

Solution

The observed behavior was addressed by enabling SMB2 on the Buffalo Link-Station fixed the issue
