arcserve-KB : Arcserve Cloud | Bucket region is not populated when backed up to Amazon S3 when the Bucket Region is Ireland

Description:
When a backup to cloud is made and the storage service is from Amazon S3 and the Bucket region is Ireland, and we try to access the stored data from a different node than the one which was backed up, we will be unable to proceed to browse because the bucket region will not get populated.




Solution:

Arcserve is aware of this problem and a Workaround for customers. Please find it more details below. A permanent fix will be available in our upcoming release. Please note this problem is observed only for Bucket Region Ireland.
Please select “Amazon -Compatible” from the storage service list as shown below. And provide the Ireland Endpoint as “s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com”. Then proceed with the access details and select the respective bucket and perform the restore.




This will allow you to be able to restore without a problem.
