Error Message:
Following message pops up on the screen with no further activity on Startup. Even though the Appliance Configuration wizard is completed successfully and backups are running.
 


This issue is noticed while accessing the UDP Appliance Server Remotely.

Solution:
Following value need to be removed from the below mentioned registry path:
“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE->SOFTWARE->Microsoft->Windows NT->CurrentVersion->Winlogon->Userinit”
· Value:
'C:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\BIN\ApplianceReminder.exe”
Below are the step by step instructions to make this change in the registry:
1. Browse to the following location in Registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> SOFTWARE -> Microsoft -> Windows NT -> CurrentVersion -> Winlogon -> Userinit”
2. Remove the value:
C:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\BIN\ApplianceReminder.exe
