|This is a generic error and it is very important to identify which session is failing with this error.|
We need to first identify on which server on which we have the problem.
Quickstart ->Job status-> Job History->Expand the job->Expand the failing server->Verify Failing Session
In the above example Backup Failed only on System state.
Make Sure the server is expandable and there is a communication with the agent.
Quickstart -> Backup-> Expand the Problem server
Quicktstart-> Job status -> Right click on the job and modify it -> verify if we are able to expand the problem server under "Source tab"
If you cannot expand the node under the source tab refer to Document ID 4467 and verify the basic connectivity
Refer to Document ID 3670 and make sure that you are on latest build availble for your version of CA ARcserve Backup.
Refer to the below table and refer to the knowledge base articles published for different session types for this specific error. You may then refer to the known issues section and obtain a test fix if you find that the fix is applicable for your problem .
