Description:

How to do a silent install of the CA ARCServe RHA Engine component with (i.e. domain\user account) & without a service account (i.e. Local System) using CLI mode.

Solution:

First copy the CAARCserveRHAEngine.exe or CAARCserveRHAEngine64.exe executables locally on the server and then from the command prompt browse to that location and then follow the below commands.

Silent install without a service account (i.e. Local System)

for 32-bit OS use :
CAARCserveRHAEngine.exe /S '/v/qn XOLOGIN='domain/administrator' XOPASSWORD='****' XOPORT='25000' XOLANG='1033'

for 64-bit OS use :
CAARCserveRHAEngine64.exe /S '/v/qn XOLOGIN='domain/administrator' XOPASSWORD='****' XOPORT='25000' XOLANG='1033'

 

Silent install with a service account (i.e. domain\user account)

For 32 bit OS use :

CAARCserveRHAEngine.exe /s /L1033 /V'/qn INSTALLDIR=\'C:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve RHA\Engine\' IS_XOSOFT_INSTALLED_BEFORE_INSTALL=0 IS_WANSYNC_INSTALLED_BEFORE_INSTALL=0 /lemo \'C:\CA_install_log\install-log.txt\' ALLUSERS=1 INSTALLLEVEL=100 LOCALACCOUNT='No' XOLOGIN='domain\administrator' XOPASSWORD='***' IS_NET_API_LOGON_USERNAME='domain\administrator' ServiceUserName=domain\administrator ServicePassword=*** XOLANG=1033 IS_PROXY=0 /norestart'

For 64-bit OS use :
