Solution:

Steps:

  1. Open the CA XOsoft Manager.

  5. Within the Events window wait until the message 'Replica <Name> is ready for Manual Exchange Integrity Testing' appears.
  6. Log into the Replica server.
  7. Click Start , then All programs , then Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 , then Exchange Management Shell
  8. From the PowerShell command prompt use the following syntax:

    1. Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity ‘<Source Server>\<Source Storage Group>\<Source Mailbox Database’ | Get-Mailbox [| Where {  $_.Name -like '<filter string>' } ] | Move-Mailbox -ConfigurationOnly -TargetDatabase '<Target Server>\<Target Storage Group>\<Target Mailbox Database>' ”Confirm:$false
      1. e.g. - Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity ‘MasterServer\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database’ | Get-Mailbox | Where {  $_.Name -like 'Test User'} | Move-Mailbox -ConfigurationOnly -TargetDatabase 'ReplicaServer\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database' ”Confirm:$false
      2. This Configures the users residing in the MasterServer Mailbox Database who has the Display name ‘Test User’ to have their AD properties point to the ReplicaServer Mailbox Database.

      3. This can also be seen in the Exchange Management Console

  9. Next change the Outlook mail profile by using the Mail control within Control Panel for the test user to point to the Replica host.

  10. Perform the testing on that server to include sending and receiving emails within Outlook or OWA.
  11. Once all testing is complete open the Exchange Management Shell and perform the same command as before with the Replica as the source server and the Master as the target server.

    e.g. - Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity ‘ReplicaServer\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database’ | Get-Mailbox | Where {  $_.Name -like 'Test User'} | Move-Mailbox -ConfigurationOnly -TargetDatabase 'MasterServer\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database' ”Confirm:$false
  12. When the user has been moved back to the Master perform a Check Name on the mail profile to direct it back to the Master.
  13. Open the CA XOsoft Manager.
  14. Expand the Exchange 2007 scenario and right-click on the Replica.
  15. Click on Replica Integrity Testing.
  16. Click YES to complete testing and resume replication.
