Description:

This document will explain how to set an Offline Address List for a Mailbox Database in an Exchange 2010 scenario.

Solution:

When starting an Exchange 2010 scenario in R16 you may receive a warning that the 'Offline Address List for Database <Database Name> is not set.

Follow the steps below to address this warning about Offline Address List:

  1. Open up the Exchange 2010 Management Console
  2. Click on Organization Configuration and then 'Mailbox'.
  3. On the Database Management tab, highlight the Database which RHA was displaying an error about the Offline Address List not set and select 'Properties'.
  4. Within the Properties of the Database, click on the 'Client Settings' tab. Click 'Browse' for the Offline Address Book property and select the 'Default Offline Address Book'

CA ARCserve RHA R16 will automatically update the Offline Address List for Databases on the Replica when creating a new scenario if the OAL is specified on the Master Mailbox Database.
