Problem:

How to enable Timeout on Device Group ?

Solution:

To enable Timeout on Device Group do the following

1.Stop the Tape Engine service

2.Open registry and browse to 

32bit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ ComputerAssociates \ CA ARCserve Backup \ Base \ Task\Backup

64bit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node \ ComputerAssociates \ CA ARCserve Backup \ Base\Task\Backup

3. Add a DWORD called 'ConnectGroupTimeOut'

The default is 30. If you set the value as 60, the timeout will be 60 minutes, and so on.
