Title:  How to change the default port for CA ARCserve for Linux and Unix.

Solution:

The default port for ARCserve for Linux and UNIX is port 6060. Follow the below steps to change the default port for ARCserve Backup server.

  • Start csetup using the following command.

    # csetup

  • In the csetup menu select '9' to stop ARCserve, then '2' to configure the Apache Server

  • Enter 'y' to continue.

  • Next, you need to enter the new port number for the web server, here the default shows the already configured port number that is 6060 and you will key in 6061 as a new port number.

  • Hit enter takes you back to the csetup menu and you can select '0' to return to the command prompt.

    Next time you try to login to the arcserve manager you need to use port 6061.
