Solution:

IMPORTANT: This article contains information about modifying the registry. Before you modify the registry, make sure to create back up of the registry and ensure that you understand how to restore the registry if a problem may occur. For more information about how to back up, restore, and edit the registry, please review the relevant Microsoft Knowledge Base articles on support.microsoft.com.

Delete the entries for the server under these two registry entries:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Computer Associates/CA ARCserve Backup/Discovery Table
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Computer Associates/CA ARCserve Backup/Base/ASMgr/ServerAddIn

Bring up \Program Files\CA\Shared Components\ARCserve Backup\CADS\dsconfig.exe

Click the 'Windows Domain' tab.
Look for the server and if listed, select and click Remove.
Select Operation from the menu bar
Under Operation select Distribute Discovery Service Tables
Look to see if this server is listed there.

Look to see if this server is listed under
\Program Files\CA\ARCserve Backup\data\discovery

Delete it if found.

Go to
\Program Files\CA\ARCserve Backup\config

Open discovery.cfg (it is a text file) look for the server listed there and remove if found.
