Why is a Reboot required on the standby VM after its powered on ?
When the ARCserve Central Virtual Standby conversion job runs , Storage Drivers are injected into the bootable snapshot so that the Virtual Machine can boot successfully. If Storage drivers are not right when machine is booted , it can result in a blue screen.
After the first boot, depending on how different the hardware is when compared with source hardware, the Operating System updates the chipset, drivers etc for better performance. This happens automatically on first boot of Standby VM.
After these drivers are changed Operating System requires a reboot of the machine to load those drivers.
