Description:

Deploying policy might fail with error 'Unable to apply policy to proxy '[Proxy Server Name]'. (no license available)

Environment:

- CA ARCserve Central Host-Based VM Backup r16.5 GA build 843 + CA D2D 16.5 build 1444 on Windows Server 2008

Method 1:

Step1: Check if the product properly licensed or not.

            Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC

            Run CALicnse.exe and check for the license.

Step2: If the license is not listed and you have ca.olf file handy, then copy the file in following location.

             C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC

Step3. Restart CA ARCserve Central Application Service

Step4. Reopen CA ARCserve Central Host-Based VM Backup and re-assign policies.

Method 2:

Step1: Login to CA ARCserve Central Host-Based VM Backup UI and click on Help > Manage Licenses...

Step2: Enter the License Key and click on Add.

Step3. Restart CA ARCserve Central Application Service

Step4. Reopen CA ARCserve Central Host-Based VM Backup and re-assign policies.
