ReFS Volumes can be selected as Source for Backups.
ReFS Volumes can be used as Destination for Backups.
- ReFS Volumes can be used as Restore Destination.
For ReFS volume, ARCserve D2D cannot generate catalog.
Irrespective of the File System Catalog option is checked or unchecked in the Advanced Backup settings, ARCserve D2D cannot generate catalog for the ReFS volumes. But still the files and folders will be available for restore from the Restore dialog or by Mounting the recovery point.
- File copy is not supported for ReFS Volumes. ReFS and deduplicated NTFS volumes will not be listed as selectable backup sources to be file copied.
What will happen if we restore NTFS Volume Data to ReFS Volume?
When NTFS file is restored to ReFS or vice-versa, some attributes of source file system could be lost since destination file system does not support it.
