Last Update: 2016-04-25 13:58:20 UTC

Description:While working on various problems related to CA ARCserve D2D and CA ARCserve D2D On Demand it may be required to reinstall the Mounting driver.

Note: The below steps would resolve specific problems, it should not be performed unless requested by CA Support.

Steps to reinstall the Mounting driver:

1) Browse to the directory 'X:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve D2D\BIN\DRIVER'.(Replace X:\ with the Drive letter where CA ARCserve D2D is installed).

2)Run batch file UninstallHBADriver.bat.
Note: If the OS is Windows Vista/Windows 2008 or later, right click the batch file and select the option 'Run as administrator'.

3)Review the Exit Code in the log %TEMP%\UninstallHBADriver.log; if it is 3010, then reboot the server for the driver to be completely uninstalled. If it is 0, reboot is not required; proceed to the next step.

4)Run the following commands from the windows command prompt after changing the current working directory to 'X:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve D2D\BIN\DRIVER'.(Replace X:\ with the Drive letter where CA ARCserve D2D is installed).

AFStorHBAInstall.exe -i -u -output='%TEMP%\InstallHBADriver.log'
AFStorHBAInstall.exe -i -output='%TEMP%\InstallHBADriver.log'

Note: If the OS is Windows Vista/Windows 2008 or latter, launch the command prompt by select the option 'Run as administrator'.

5)Review the log %TEMP%\InstallHBADriver.log, if it is 3010 reboot the server. If it is 0 a reboot is not required and the installation of the Mounting driver completed successfully.
