Problem:

Backup of Exchange 2003 using D2D fail with below error

Failed to generate Exchange Granular Restore catalog for EDB File X:\Exchange Data\Exchange Database\xxxx.edb.

in the above line, we have initiated mount of database using eseutil.exe, which would check the integrity of the database.

This line indicate that the .stm file and the .edb file are not in the same folder.  The .stm file and the .edb file  should be in same folder as its a prerequisite from Arcserve.This holds good only for exch2003.

Solution:

Make sure the .stm file and the .edb file  are in same folder.
