Description:

In case there is a problem during the installation of CA ARCserve D2D, a number of logs will be created that contain details about the setup steps.

Solution

  1. Find logs belonging to the License installation under the default Windows installation path C:\Windows\temp\CA_XX.tmp.
    A folder for the servername will be created which contains a D2D.LOG.
    Additional files that can be found:
    • getlicpath.vbs
    • lic_comp_codes.dat
    • prod_codes_update.log
    • prod_codes.txt
    • ProdWiz.log
    • Readme.txt
    • UpdateProdCodes.bat
  2. Find the setup logs for each installed component under the TEMP path that is defined in the server environment variables:
    • ADRGUI.LOG
    • CAServiceAct1.log
    • Installdriver.log
    • InstallService.log
