The 8.4.x supported EEM versions required by CA Process Automation are 32 bit applications and install a 32bit version of iGateway.
If a 64bit version of eTrust ITM is installed prior to attempting the EEM install, eTrust ITM will lay down a 64 bit iGateway.
EEM cannot install the 32bit iGateway, nor can it connect to the 64bit causing the EEM install to fail. In the EEM install log it will show
ERROR: iGatewhat installation failed
Error code: 0
Exit Code: 1603
iGateway cannot be installed Aborting the installation
In Add Remove Programs you will see CA iTechnology iGateway [x64]
To resolve this and allow both products to install and work as needed:
Uninstall the 64 bit version of Antivirus through Add / Remove Programs.
This will remove the 64bit version of iGateway. Verify that CA eTrust ITM, and CA iTechnology iGateway were removed in Add/Remove Programs .
Install the 8.4.x EEM version, which will install the 32bit iGateway.
Once there is a 32bit iGateway installed, both the 64bit CA Process Automation and 64bit CA eTrust ITM Antivirus software can be installed and will function properly using the 32bit iGateway.
