arcserve-KB : BMR Fails with the error message "The source system does not support UEFI firmware. To perform BMR, boot the machine with BIOS firmware."

Error Message:

'The source system does not support UEFI firmware. To perform BMR, boot the machine with BIOS firmware.'

Description:

The above error message is seen while trying to perform BMR using the CA ARCserve D2D r16.5 BMR Disk. This error message indicates that the Boot Mode in the Current System Hardware is UEFI Firmware Mode and the source server Operating System does not support UEFI Firmware Mode.

If the error message is seen while trying to perform BMR of a server which does not support the conversion, then please change the Firmware mode to BIOS Compatible Mode on the target machine before performing the BMR.

For detailed steps on how to change the Firmware Mode , please refer the User Manual supplied by the Destination System Hardware Manufacturer.
