arcserve-KB : UDP || Datastore values are showing 0 on existing datastores.

Last Update: 2018-03-02 19:28:33 UTC
Problem: Data store values are shown '0' on existing data stores.

Environment:
Versions of  UDP: 6.0 and above.

Description: In the UDP console  space occupied for the Datastore is displayed as '0'. This could be due to the 'Statistic.dat' file not updated with the correct information.
This scan is applicable for Dedup datastores and non-dedup datastore.

Solution:
  • Stop the Datastore which are not showing up the values.
  • Open command prompt with admin privilege
  • Execute the command on RPS server [ where X:\ is the installation path of arcserve UDP]
    X:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\BIN>as_gddmgr.exe -Scan RefreshDiskUsageInfo DataStoreName
    • This command scans and updates the Statistic.dat which is located in the backup destination folder.
  • Scan may take some time depending up the size of the data store.
  • Once the scan is completed you can start the datastore and verify the data values.
  • For reference verify the as_gddmgr_date_time.log located in the path  X:\Program Files\Arcserve\Unified Data Protection\Engine\Logs [ where X:\ is the installation path of arcserve UDP]
