arcserve-KB : [Solution] CIFS mounting failed on newer Linux distributions or kernels

If the linux backup server or node is on new Linux distribution or new kernel, the backup and file level restore will fail at mounting cifs destination.


Products Affected:
Arcserve UDP. Affected release :6.5 Update 1; 6.0 Update 1;

Product Installation Instructions:
1) Download the d2dpatch.sh to the Linux Backup Server
1) /opt/Arcserve/d2dserver/bin/d2dserver stop 
2) ./d2dpatch.sh 
3) /opt/Arcserve/d2dserver/bin/d2dserver start

    How to apply the fix:
    2) cd /tmp
    3) tar -xzf UDPV65U1-295732-cifs-domain-20170828.tar.gz
    4) cd UDPV65U1-295732-cifs-domain-20170828
    5)/opt/Arcserve/d2dserver/bin/d2dserver stop
    6) ./d2dpatch.sh
    7) /opt/Arcserve/d2dserver/bin/d2dserver start
