Problem Summary:

E8535 Failed to receive data from the agent. (Node=&ltname&gt@&ltaddress&gt)

All backup jobs fail with this message in the activity log. When it occurs, the log file on the Client Agent side (LOG\Bxx-&ltnum&gt.log) isn't created.

This problem occurs for the agent node where the Oracle Agent is running, after expanding its node  in the backup manager view to see the "Oracle Server" volume.
The problem disappears after restaring the Universal Agent service.

Arcserve Backup. Affected release :17; 16.5.1;

Product Installation Instructions:

Please apply this fix on the Oracle Agent machine.
(1) Unzip the zip file
(2) Run the patch according to the instructions
