arcserve-KB : [Solution] Compressed files are corrupted when restored by D2D integration

Problem Summary:

Compressed files are sometimes corrupted when they are restored from the backup data which was moved to tape from the D2D recovery point by D2D integration.

Please run another D2D Incremental or Full backup before running new Integration Backup after applying this fix  to resolve this problem.

Please make sure RO70938 and RO75131 are applied for the arcserve Backup  to avoid other problems in the lite integration backup / restore.

Products Affected:
Arcserve D2D16.5 update2;

Product Installation Instructions:

This fix requires CA ARCserve D2D r16.5 Update2 to be installed.
1. Stop ARCserve D2D services and Monitor
2. Unzip
3. Under X:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve D2D\Bin,
rename VMImage.dll to VMImage.dll.bk

For 64-bit machine,
4. Copy VMImage.dll to X:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve D2D\Bin

For 32-bit machine,
4. Copy VMImage.dll.x86 to X:\Program Files\CA\ARCserve D2D\Bin,
and rename it to VMImage.dll
